  1. Congratulations on the release of your memoir! That is so exciting. Your articles are beautifully written, and give gentle reminders of all the things in life we have to be thankful for! Thank you.

    1. Thank you! I’m looking forward to the book release next year. It’s good to know that one’s words can have a positive impact on others. There are so many things to be thankful for; it’s simply a matter of stepping back and taking stock of our life.

I often ask family and friends to consider the following: If you think you have it bad and it seems that life always appears to throw you curve balls, then just take a look around you. If you do this, more often than not, you’ll see someone who is much less fortunate than yourself. Therein lies the epiphany of our circumstance!

Always be thankful, and always be willing to help others.

      Thanks for commenting!

    1. Hey there, Greg – It’s good to hear from you! It seems that we connect on occasion through many different media. I hope all is well with you. What number can I reach you at?

It’s funny that you inquired about the book…well, here’s what’s happening: After many fits & stops dealing with traditional publishers, I decided to publish the book myself under my own imprint called PRIA Publishing.

I’ll be conducting a KICKSTARTER campaign next month to raise the required capital to publish the book by spring of 2014…details will soon follow.

My number is 774-283-3143 or give me your number and I’ll give you a call. Be well, my old friend…thanks for reaching out—I hope to speak with you soon!

  2. Hello Kevin, I hope to still be able to read your book about the Vineyard when it is published. I turned 90 this year and so thankful that I still have good vision. I think about your mom and our years of friendship and how we loved family. I do hear from Joanne from time to time and just wanted you to know how much I enjoy your writing.
    Aunt Barbara

    1. Hello Aunt Barbara – I appreciate your kind words, particularly the ones about Ma, whom we all dearly miss. It’s great to hear from you, and I hope you are well. I’ll certainly let you know about the progress of the book…I’m sure you’ll enjoy it—it will take you back to a very special time in our lives as family. All the best to you! Kevin

  3. I use to spend the summers on the Vineyard since 1969 and met quite a few islanders. I work at WDAS FM radio in Philly now. Join the book club on our website and let’s see what God will do. Office 610 784 5302

    1. Al –

Thanks for reaching out! I’ll take your advice and join the book club. Perhaps there might be some interest in the subject. It would be great to introduce the book to your audience.

When you spent summers on the Vineyard, was it in Oak Bluffs?

    1. Hey there, Greg –

It’s good to hear from you…thanks for reaching out! I hope all is well with you.

My book is currently available at bookstores in metro-Boston, Martha’s Vineyard, and on Cape Cod, but you can order a copy from the website: http://www.priapublishing.com.

Let me know the next time you’re in the area; it would be great to see you again! Be well, my friend.

    1. Hello there, Josephine –

It’s so nice to hear from you! I hope you are well…how’s your family? It’s been ages since I’ve seen any of you.

When you read the book, you’ll be surprised to see that your family is part of the story too. I’ve changed the names of many people in the book, but the stories are there. Your family was a big part of our experiences on the island.

I don’t know if you’ll be on the island, but I’ll be giving a book talk this Thursday at the Oak Bluffs Library @ 6:30 p.m. Also, the book is available at Bunch of Grapes, C’est La Vie, Edgartown books, or through my website: http://www.priapublishing.com.

Thanks for reaching out, Josephine, and I hope to see you sometime!

      My best,
